About the Band
Hailing from Huntsville, AL, Defense Wound formed in 2020 after the previous band Flagbearer (2016-2020) decided that writing as a hardcore band had become too limiting. With a respect for oldschool death metal (Deicide, Bolt Thrower, Suffocation, Morbid Angel) as well as a love for the newschool death metal (Frozen Soul, Undeath, Kombat, Tribal Gaze), we are attempting our own flavor of greasy brutality known as "Rocket City Death Metal".
Our debut album, Hymns of War, is the combination of three years worth of blood, sweat, tears, and other bodily fluids. We hope you enjoy.
